Dr David Band

I graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2020 and joined Northwest Referrals shortly after qualifying. My role here spans the full range of clinical work — from first vaccinations through to advanced diagnostic imaging including CT and MRI.

My primary interest is surgery, and I'm currently planning to develop this further by undertaking a surgical certificate. I'm drawn to the problem-solving nature of surgical work and the tangible difference it makes to the animals we treat.

Outside of the practice, I play American football for the Lancashire Buccaneers and coach for the University of Lancashire Rams, as well as following the NFL closely. I also spend a significant amount of time in the gym — as much preparation for the field as anything else.
