Open Vacancies:

Imaging RVN Required

We are currently looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for Imaging and Internal Medicine who is willing to take on the challenge of co-ordinating our Imaging department. We are an independent, family run business in Wigan and we truly believe in family values, we believe our team is an extension of that. We strive to deliver a high standard of care to both our patients and our clients, therefore any candidate wishing to apply should have that same mindset.

We are a Tier 3 hospital, first opinion practice, referral centre and training practice. Amongst our biggest asset; the team, we have a large range of services and equipment to offer clients which allows us to offer a RCVS awarded “outstanding” level of customer service and care. A varied caseload and opportunity to grow with the company ensures that no two working days are the same.

We have just upgraded our MRI scanner to a new Eseote Grande, which is a great piece of kit to add to our arsenal and will vastly improve the quality of service that we can offer to our clients, both referral and inhouse. Alongside these changes we have also had an increase in caseload numbers after creating great relationships with neighbouring veterinary practices needing referral services over the past few years.

Candidates must have excellent time management and communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure. An interest and experience in advanced imaging techniques is advantageous if not a must. This role would be best suited for someone who will be willing to work hard to improve the efficiency of our Imaging department and work with our Imaging Vet and practice management team to further advance the departments offer. The ability to show initiative and share ideas is something that is a must in this role.

The role requires the ability to work 38.6 hours per week, with 1 in 9 Saturdays. Our OOH service is currently managed by Vets Now so you will not be expected to work outside of opening hours, but there is an opportunity to cover our inpatients to increase your salary. An attractive salary and holiday package will also be offered to the successful applicant, this will be discussed at interview.
