Muppet is a 9 year old, entire male Labrador. Muppet came to our practice with a complaint of stiffness, occasional limping and difficulty getting up. A clinical and neurological examination showed a slight reflex deficiency in both hind limbs. He was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at 2 years old and is on occasional non-steroidal pain relief.  At first glance it seemed like a classic case of hip dysplasia, but our CT scan revealed a lot of underlying problems including: Lumbo-sacral hyperostosis, osteophyte on both talus bones, degenerative joint disease on both tarsal and cubital joints plus the pre-existing hip dysplasia.
