Montgomery is a 2 year old, entire male, canine crossbreed with a suspect liver shunt. Due to clinical signs he was referred to us for a CT scan. Clinical signs included; signs of in-appetence, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhoea and motor dysfunction after eating food. Pre and post contrast comparisons are great for diagnosing CT scan images as after administration the scan is perfect modality to trace all major vessels in the body; crucial in this case. We performed a post contrast scan and no shunt was evident. Further investigations at Montgomery’s regular veterinary practice are to take place.
