Bruce was referred to our practice for a MRI scan of the brain. He is a 5-year-old male German Shepherd dog. He presented with a head tilt and short episodes of poor co-ordination. A head tilt in middle aged German Shepherd is quite common. It is known as Vestibular Syndrome, which is a self-limiting condition. Unfortunately in his case a mass was evident on the MRI images, it was believed to be a meningioma and the cause of his clinical symptoms. To this date MRI is the best modality to evaluate brain structures.
